Holistic therapy is a term used to describe therapies that treat the person as a whole, rather than treating just the symptom. Massage therapies treat all aspects of a person's well-being including physical, spiritual and emotional. The techniques that Judith uses include deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage massage and myofascial release.
 Massage works on the musculo-skeletal and nervous systems to release tension, relieve stress, condition weak muscles and loosen hypertonic (chronically tight) muscles. If you sit in an office in front of a computer for 8 hours a day, the chances are that you may suffer from lower back pain, legs feeling "heavy", and tight, painful shoulder & neck muscles. Just 30 minutes of remedial massage can leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and relieved of pain. Massage also works on the lymphatic system to improve lymphatic drainage. This is particularly helpful to pregnant women who are suffering from swollen feet due to water retention, or for people recovering from an acute, recent injury. Lymphatic drainage massage consists of very light strokes on the surface tissue, draining the lymphatic fluid into lymph nodes. Because it is such a gentle pressure, it can be used on people who have recent scar tissue or swelling from an injury.
